Book Presentation
Giorgos Paxinos, neuroscientist and author of many books about the human brain, famous for mapping the human brain, born in Ithaca originating from Paxos and living in Australia will be presenting his new book “Κατ’ εικόνα” published by Livanis Publications, Athens, 2015

During the Irish Week “Irish Wings” (6-31/07/2017):

Poetry Evening: The poet Theo Dorgan will be reading from his collection, Greek.
Venue: Library K.I.P. in Gaios

Irish art exhibition: Paintings, prints and watercolors by four prominent Irish artists at the Loggos Municipal art gallery: Denise Ferran (Belfast), James Allen (Belfast), Mick O’ Dea (Dublin), Donald Teskey (Dublin) will exhibit their work, with particular reference to islands and seascapes.
Venue: Old Loggos School
Date: 6-31/07 Opening: 6th July at 8.30pm

Culinary Event: The chef Paula McIntyre will demonstrate Irish inventiveness in the tradition of culinary art, using Irish ingredients to produce recipes inspired by Irish writing on Greek food, such as the red mullet and dolmades mentioned by Seamus Heaney in his ‘Sonnets from Hellas’.

A public interview: in which the respective musicians discuss the bouzouki in Greek and Irish music with a well known Greek press or television interviewer.
