Lamprini Gioti, whose artistic name is Labri Giotto, is a performer, teacher, radio producer and ethnomusicologist.

She graduated from the Musical High School in Athens and the National Conservatory with a Diploma and High Distinction in the classical piano.

She holds an MA in Ethnomusicology from the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance at the University of Limerick. There she studied Sean-Nós, a highly-ornamented style of unaccompanied traditional Irish singing, concentrating on the West Cork Gaeltacht (an area where Irish is the predominant language). Lamprini studied particularly the styles of respected singers like Eilís Ní Shúilleabháin, Iarla Ó Lionáird & Elisabeth Cronin.

Lamprini’s many teachers of Irish traditional music and singing include Ross Daly and the much-admired Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, with whom she will be singing on Paxos.

Lamprini has been pioneering Irish traditional singing in Greece since 1997 and has been conducting Sean-Nós seminars for over 10 years.

The owner and player of the only nyckelharpa in Greece and the Balkans to be played by a Greek musician, she is the founder & conductor of the Gaelic- Nordic Choir, Curfá, and the co -founder of the Celtic band Sòlastas.  Since 2014 she has been a producer-performer at the Athens Celtic Music Festival.

In 2018 she sang Sean-Nós live for the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, at the Athens Megaron Concert Hall and more recently the Irish Traditional Music Archive has recognized her as a Sean Nós singer living outside Ireland.

She is responsible for Cultural Events on the committee of the Greek Irish Society and has collaborated in several projects with the Irish Embassy in Athens.
