Panajotis Pratsos was born in Athens. He studied piano and Music Theory at the Amadeus Conservatory in Athens. He graduated with Bachelor of Music with specialization in Conductingat the Ionian University.
He continued his vocal studies as a postgraduate student at Musik und Kunst Privatunivesität Wien with KS Birgid Steinberger and Prof. Caroline Hague where he got his Master’s degree in Lied and Oratorium.
His artistic development is based in sacred music and German Lied. Particularly noteworthy are the St. John Passion (J.S. Bach), in Budapest (MÜPA), as well as the Mass in B minor by J.S.Bach and the Liebeslieder by J.Brahms at the Vienna State Opera. But also the Mozart Requiem, Faure-Requiem and many other great works in Austria, Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, Hungary, Taiwan and in the USA.
As a soloist he has collaborated with Orchestras such as the Bühnenorchester der Wiener Staatsoper, Junge Philharmonie Wien, Budapest Dohnányi Orchestra, Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, Philharmonie Klosterneuburge.c
He was a finalist at the competition “CONCORSO MUSICA SACRA” in Rome 2014, as well as 1st prize winner of the 2015 NATS International Competition for Voice in the USA.
Panajotis Pratsos had performed the Opera roles of Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro), Publio (La Clemenza di Tito) and Don Prudenzio (Il Viaggio a Reims).
Since September 2017 Panajotis Pratsos is member of the Vienna State Opera Choir, also performing as a soloist on occasions.
