Friends of Paxos non-profit organization invites you to an evening of lectures around the Greek Revolution of 1821 in association with the History Department of the Ionian University and the Society of Paxiot Studies.

Athanasios Efstathiou, Professor of Ancient Greek language and literature in the History Department and Dean at the School of Human Studies Department of the Ionian University will present to us the contribution of American Philhellenes to the struggle of the Greeks against the Ottoman Empire.

Spyros Bogdanos, researcher and local historian will talk to us about local fighters participating in the Revolution of 1821.

All presentations will be translated in English live.
