Irish Wings will take place on Sunday 6th July 2025, 9pm at Old School Yard, Loggos, Paxos, Greece
A remarkable gathering of musical talent from Ireland and Greece will take place this July on the idyllic island of Paxos, as part of ‘Irish Wings’—a captivating cross-cultural festival that has become an annual highlight on the island’s cultural calendar. With its picturesque villages, crystal-clear waters, and dramatic white cliffs, Paxos provides a breathtaking backdrop for this celebration of musical exchange.
Joining this year’s lineup is legendary singer-songwriter Paul Brady, who will perform alongside Bright Phoebus—now the resident ensemble for Irish Wings. This unique Greek-Irish group was founded by acclaimed fiddle player and producer Dónal O’Connor, whose vision and artistry continue to shape the project.
Together, these outstanding musicians are ideally placed to reimagine the music and song traditions of Ireland and Greece—two cultures located at the edges of Europe—bringing them together in fresh, unexpected, and thrilling new interpretations.
Irish Wings is an initiative of Culture Ireland and the Embassy of Ireland, Greece.
