Dimitris Soukaras (guitar) – Lotte Betts-Dean (voice)

Greek guitarist, Dimitris Soukaras playing on an acoustic guitar with romantic sound (sounding like a medieval lute) accompanies the devine voice of Lotte Betts-Dean, presenting a program based on music by Nick Drake (1948-1974) and John Dowland (1563-1626).

Those two London song writers, who lived in England in times 400 years apart from one another, both composed and performed their own songs. Time distance seems immense between their two eras; however the melancholy in their poetic lyrics brings them really close together in a most surprising way…
