Three painting exhibitions
Opening of the three group interconnected painting exhibitions under the title:
“Reaching out my hand I embrace her” – hand- woman – sea will take place in June 7th 2025 in the Old School House in Loggos, Paxos at 8pm
They are held under the hospice of Paxos Music Festival in cooperation of “Image Publications” and Non Profit Organization “Friends of Paxos”
A coexistence of artistic creation focused on the human hand, the woman and the sea.
A few notes on each exhibition:
«The hand»
Works by 25 contemporary artists included in the Art Album – Calendar of 2025 by Image Publications.
25; Twenty contemporary Greek artists, four painters, one sculptor and ten poets depict figurative forms and sentiments showing us through their works how the hand contributes in the aesthetic and creative dynamic of a art work.
They are depicting the hand that offers, that hugs, that protects, the hand that creates, that fights, that bloods.

«The Sea»
Designer –artist, Sonya Winner, inspired by the Mediterranean Sea and Paxos landscapes, while creating handmade rags with intense colors and modern designs. Her passionate works, full of bright colors provide an impressive artwork produced through a variety of weaving methods and techniques and using different types of threads.
«Woman – Sea»
Women and the Sea have been an inspiration source for artists over the centuries. Both the Sea and the Woman with their versatile looks have been a source of life as well as a source of destructive power. They have been triggering artistic imagination into creating colorful compositions, moving in space and time in absolute freedom and enigmatic calm. While the spectator’s glance embraces the composition, he/she welcome a sense of freedom.

Iolanda Anthi-Varotsi, Stathes Vatanidis, Andreas Kondelis, Dimitris Kretsis, Dimitris Miliotis, Eva Nikolakaki, Antonis Poiltakis and Elena Provata.
Producer and Curator of the Exhibition is Elvira Metallinou.
The Art Album-Calendar “The Hand” published by Image Publications acts as the Exhibition Catalogue.
