TheSymposium” is a cycle of songs by composer Dimitris Maramis in which the theme of ‘Wine and Love’ is explored through different eras of Greek poetry. A musical presentation dedicated to the cultural appreciation of wine throughout 25 rich centuries of the Greek language.

Musical interpretations of Ancient, Hellenistic, Byzantine, Folk, Fanariot (from Istanbul), interwar and contemporary Greek poetry; passages from Euripides, Anacreon, John the Evangelist, Athanasios Christopoulos, Georgios Drosinis, Konstantinos Kavafis, Kostas Kristallis, Lambros Porfiras, Napoleon Lapathiotis, Nikos Kazantzakis and Yannis Ritsos will be performed alongside narrative prose texts by Homer, Evoulos and Plato.

A program in English will be available at the entrance

A wine tasting event will take place in the yard after the concert.
